Wouldn't you like to play at this playground? It is located at Jesus la Roca Firme and is the mission project that CCBA did for Jesus La Roca Firme this year. Pastor Jorge Houed and wife Evelyn are greatly appreciative of this gift from the Association and plan to beautify the grounds even more. Thank God for an Association that is willing to help and encourage our churches as much as it can!!!

Mark Ruis is the  47 year-old son of your Associational Missionary and his wife, Terrell and Barbara Ruis. He discovered last Christmas that he had colon cancer. He had 1/2 of his colon removed immediately, and has gone through six months of chemotherapy. He has just spent almost two weeks in the hospital, but is now a little better. Mark lives in Gainesville, GA., with wife Amanda and four children, Ben (17), Carrie (15), Jesse and Nathan (13). Please continue to pray for Mark. To the right is a picture of Mark from his website, www.markruis.com.

J.P. and Frances Wood were honored on their 60th Wedding Anniversary by a "SURPRISE" celebration at Cool Springs Baptist Church on Saturday, July 24th, 2010. The good folks at Cool Springs put on a good spread and many guests came. What a wonderful time. Please pray for J.P. since he is on dialysis and has a heart condition and for Mrs. Frances because of possible recurrence of cancer. The picture to the left is of them "cutting the cake."

Paul and Glenda will be returning soon to Alaska where they will move from Ambler to Seward to start a church. (The picture to the right was taken last fall outside the church in Ambler).
